BEVERAGE DIRECTOR & BIG DIPPER HOSPITALITY GROUP PARTNER HEATHER MOJER’S STORY

Heather Mojer was pretty much born into food service. As a child, she would spend most of her time playing in the restaurant while her mother managed the bar. She eventually started working at the restaurant once she was of age which laid the foundation for her entry into the industry. Heather eventually attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst to pursue a bachelor of science in Sustainable Food Systems. During college, she worked at a student-run sandwich shop and also as a barista, this gave her enough experience to be offered her first bartending position out of college at Hungry Mother.

A few of Heather’s recognitions include a cover piece in the 2011 Imbibe Magazine holiday issue and a bartender feature with Chilled magazine summer 2012. She was also accepted as a Cocktail Apprentice (CAP) at Tales of the Cocktail 2012, a very prestigious honor. Heather worked at Hungry Mother for four years before becoming a partner and helping to open sister restaurant, State Park in 2013. In July of 2016 Heather, along with the State Park team, opened Mamaleh’s Delicatessen & Restaurant, followed by French Canadian-leaning Cafe du Pays in 2017.  Currently, Heather is the general manager at State Park, as well as the beverage director for all three concepts.
